With strong parallels to the current war, this film about Australian nurses serving in Vietnam focuses on women who risk their lives to lessen suffering in war. Harking back to an era when the niceties of civilised society had to be preserved even on the frontline, we hear stories of the extreme lengths these women would go to, sacrificing a relatively easy life back home for a foreign land they had never set eyes on before. A story that reminds us of the strength of humanity even of those put in the least humane environments, and this is a vitally important lesson to tell.
