Vietnamese Student AssociationUniversity of California, BerkeleyThis year, we present an emotionally captivating show about the women behind the Vietnam War. Our Spring 2008 production explores the story of four Vietnamese women during this period of national conflict. Like rose petals resisting the force of gravity and drifting in the wind, these Vietnamese women refuse to surrender their strengths and true essence in the midst of tumultuous adversities caused by the war. In a time of national crisis, each woman must endure her own personal hardships and find the inner will to survive. Just as a floating rose petal sustains its beauty and fragrance despite the shifting moods of the wind, these women use their personal strengths and the bond they find in each other to surmount desperate times and persevere while holding within them the heart of a nation.In 2008, we take this opportunity to honor our grandmas, mothers, sisters and daughters for their love and sacrifice.VSA proudly presents to you this year's culture show: Canh Hong Trong Gio (Petals in the Wind)

just because PBN's produced a show on the topic of Women and Mothers, it doesn't mean that this show is a rip off of that. they just recently made it what...a few months or year ago? the topic of women and the sacrifices they made for our country has existed in other shows well beyond the creation of thuy nga's show. the topic has never been "original" but the expression of it will be because everyone has their own experience to show case and UCB VSA's expression of it is their own.

If you know that people would suspect the similarity of this show with the thuynga one, why did you guys use their exact clips in this trailer? I thought Cal VSA was more original than this!

There was a Paris by Night, where they honored Vietnamese women of the past and present. I don't think this is such an "original" topic. I'll take criticism for this...Go ahead.
