Besides the general education classes offered, the center also provides vocational and career training for our children. We are now able to offer 8 separate vocational classes and these are given in:

  • Embroidery
  • Sewing
  • Woodworking
  • Handicrafts
  • Barber training

When children start form 3, which means that they are able to read, write and perform basic calculations, the children are divided into the above classes. They then spend four afternoons a week in vocational training while continuing with primary studies in the morning. After graduation from primary classes, the children are provided with some further basic training which provides career and family building skills. They continue to develop within their families, and almost all the children are able to earn a living when finished with the career training at the center.
